Charles
Mr. Washington is a proud native of Mobile, Alabama. He has been a licensed barber since 1994, after retiring from the Marine Corps. He has a proven track record of operating and managing business in the hair-care industry. He previously owned Tri-City Square Barber Shop, in Northern San Diego, County and was Co-owner and founder of Rico’s Hair Fashion Design & Barber Shop, also in Murrieta. He has served on the Orange County Barbering Apprentice Council and is currently serving on the San Bernardino/Riverside Counties Joint Apprenticeship Training Council. He is co-owner and founder of Rico’s Barber Shop in Murrieta. He has a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix.
Charles is a prominent member within the barbering and residential community. He has been instrumental in assisting many young men towards their acclimation into the barbering industry. Whereby some learned the finer aspects of the industry and were fortunate enough to move on and acquire their business. Upon arrival to Murrieta he volunteered to work at the poll on Election Day and later founded the Murrieta Unified Political Action Committee (MUPAC). During his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and mentoring young men into becoming productive adults.

Michael
Michael is a native of San Diego, California where he graduated from Monte Vista High School.during June 1999. He subsequently attended San Diego State University. In 2001 he relocated to Temecula and continued his studies at Mt. San Jacinto Community College in Menifee. This well-grounded biblical sound young man received his Ministry and Evangelism License at an early age of 22. He has also received a teaching Certificate in 2003 from the Southern Baptist Convention Center. He is a member of the Diamond Valley Community Church in Hemet, California where he serves as Minister of Evangelism and teaches a Sunday School Class.
After six months of classes, he completed the Physical Assault Response Training sponsored by the San Diego County Unified School District. From August 2004 to January 2007 Michael was enrolled as a Barber Apprentice with the Rosten’s School of Hair Design, located in San Bernardino, California. He received his California Master Barber License in March 2007. Michael is co-owner and founder of two Rico’s establishments in Murrieta. Michael professes himself to be a missionary first and a visionary for business second.

Johnathan
Johnathan is a native of Alabama. He has been in the hair care industry for more than 10 years. Johnathan gained majority of his experience prior to relocating to California. He gained further experience by attending Rosten’s School of Hair Design. Jonathan’s a avid sports fan that enjoys playing basketball during his past time.

Laron
Laron hails from the Hoosier state of Indiana. He has been in the hair care industry for 6 years. He has developed a passion for this industry and always seeking ways to better service his clients. Laron’s a dedicated and true professional that goes out of his way to avail himself to his clients. During his pastime he enjoys all major sports.

Ian
Ian is a native of Detroit , Michigan. His family relocated to San Diego during his early childhood. Ian graduated from Scripps Ranch High School in 2001. Shortly thereafter, he moved to the Inland Empire to pursue a career in the haircare industry. He enrolled in Rosten's School of Beauty, in San Bernardino, California and later transferred to Santiago Canyon College for further training prior to being administered the State's proficiency examination. During his past time, he enjoys sports and music.

Nick
Nick "The Barber" was born in Long Beach, California. In 1991 his family moved to the Bay Area-San Jose where he was mostly raised. At the age of 13 he started to build a passion for cutting hair. As time progressed, he began to cut hair for many around his local city, learning to perfect and polish his barber skill. In 2003 his family relocated back to Long Beach. Determined to keep building his barber craft, he continued to be a barber for family, friends and members of the community. After paying dues and devoting more than 10 years of his life to this art form, he finally decided to pursue it professionally. In late 2005 he packed up and moved to Temecula, Ca. with his older brother. Shortly after he aligned himself with Rico's Barbershop in Murrieta. Nick the Barber is also passionate about music and is close to his family. In the future he aspires to operate and own a barber shop of his own.

Reginald
Reggie is a native New Yorker, born in Harlem. Raised in Durham, North Carolina after parents relocated. He graduated from high school in 1990. Reggie said he hanged out for a couple of years trying to determine what career he wanted to pursue. The light came on in 1993, when he enrolled in Kappatal Cuts Barber School, located in Norfolk, Virginia. After obtaining his credentials he worked at various barber shops in the Norfolk area to hone his skills. In 1998 Reggie felt his skills were proficient enough to strike out on his own. He relocated to San Diego, California and opened his own shop in El Cajon, California. In 2004, Reggie moved 50 miles northward to Menifee, California where he commuted six days a week operating his business. February 2008 he became a Team Rico’s member. During his past time he enjoys watching all sports, hanging with the family and just plain old relaxing.

Derek
Derek is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. D. Sands as he likes to be referred to as professes to specialize in various hairstyles that includes all styles of fades, taper cuts, Mohawks, line designs and more. D. Sands believe that a hairstyle compliments the individual and is a true reflection on ones persona, notwithstanding the fact that the hair cut speaks for the barber as well. D. Sands joined the Rico’s team during 2007 and have a desire to serve the community in a positive manner.

Liz
Liz is a native Californian, she hails from Los Angeles. She graduated June 2000 form Leuzinger High School in Hawthorne. Upon graduation, Liz entered and completed the Master Barbering program at American Beauty and Barbering College. Her additional skill consists of being an award studio media make-up artist. After receiving her California Barbering License, in an effort to hone her skills and working on various hair textures, Liz worked in several barber shops in the Los Angeles area. Liz asserts that her favorite cutz are tapers and fades and she has a passion for shaving facial hair or heads. Liz recently relocated to the Inland Empire with her family. During her spare time she enjoys relaxing and spending time with her husband and kids.

Jose
Jose is a native of the “Sunshine State of Florida.” Currently residing in City of Encinitas located in North San Diego County. His family relocated to Southern California in 1996. Jose is a graduate of LaCosta Canyon High School in 2002. After graduation Jose worked for both Yahoo and Google communication services. He professes that he always had a passion for entering the hair care industry as a barber. Jose started off cutting the hair of his family and friends in the garage. That passion escalated and he entered the Orange County Joint Barbers and Cosmetology Course sponsored by Santiago Canyon College. Jose noted that during his spare time he enjoys reading and just relaxing with family and friends.

Kenyon
Kenyon Diaz is a native Belize in Central America. His parents relocated to Southern California in the late 70”s. He is a graduate of Granada Hills High School, class of 1993. At an early age Ken developed a passion for cutting hair. Ken began cutting hair at various barber shops as an apprentice in Los Angeles. This is where he honed and developed his barbering skill for more than 10 yrs. Ken decided last summer that he wanted a change of environment for his family, so he moved his family to Murrieta for a better place for to raise his kids. Ken enjoys sharing his past time with family, friends, and watching professional and college sports. His clients refers to him as Ken.

Jenny
Jenny is a native of San Diego, California. She graduated from Hilltop High School in 1997. Jenny attended San Diego State University with emphasis on psychology and prelaw and later transferred to Southwestern earning a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. After completing her degree, Jenny worked as an administrator for various firms while providing technical assistance towards the operational aspects of a family owned restaurant business. She attended San Bernardino Adult Education and Rooston’s Barber College and received her Barber license. Jenny has a daughter and two boys and profess to enjoy quality time with her family when not working. She is also a music and sports enthusiast. She acknowledges being one that loves to talk and that is why this profession chose her. Jenny cordially welcomes walk-ins or appointments.
